Internet Explorer or Microsoft Internet Explorer is the most common web browser that has been used by many of us. Later on, when we were introduced to Firefox in 2004 and Google Chrome in 2008 we started to use the new ones and almost forgot all about Internet Explorer which we loved using it though.
It is said that by 17th August 2021, Microsoft will get rid of Internet Explorer. Support to the latest version of Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer 11) and also the other apps and services such as Office 365, Outlook, OneDrive, etc. would be stopped by the team of Microsoft. Initially, the Internet Explorer will be stopped around November 2021 and others by August. In fact, after March 2021, the latest security updates will not be received by the Microsoft Edge desktop.
Now, you must be thinking whether a void space will be created? Well, yes we will be left with some moments of past but rather that Microsoft Internet Explorer will be replaced by Microsoft Edge. They claim to have better features than that of the older web browser. Also, Microsoft Edge will be using Chromium software just like Google Chrome. This chromium-based browser will let businesses access to their older sites that were specially built for Internet Explorer, only until the browser is stopped entirely. As said by Microsoft, Microsoft Edge is a faster browser than the former, using relatively fewer resources than Google Chrome.
We have been using Internet Explorer for a period when the environment of the internet was not as sophisticated as it is today. Microsoft calls the former web browser to be less sophisticated as it must be in today’s scenario. It does not cater to the needs of people in the present complex environment of technology.
