Whats App, as we know provides the user with messaging, voice messaging, voice and video calls, and also sharing images, documents, location of the user, etc. This messenger Is owned by Facebook, Inc. This app has made messaging and sharing extremely easy. It is a free app, which makes it one of the most-used apps.
More than the aforementioned functions, another very important system that Whats App comes with is its Whats App Pay. This is an in-chat payment feature by which users can make their transactions through the app to their people in their contact list. A UPI-based payments service allows not only to send money but also to receive money. This payment service is developed by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India). Initially, Whats App Pay was launched in India for trial in 2018 but later on, it got its approval from NTPC. Whats App Payments feature is available in beta in India.
You must be thinking, as to how to enable Whats-app Pay. Well, to do so, a user must start payment to any contact of its choice. As soon as the request is received, the user can set up their UPI account on the APP.
One can send money through chat as well. For this one needs to tap on the share file icon and select the Payment option. The payment system works on UPI. And also you do not need to provide any bank’s account number or IFSC codes of the recipient. Another way of transaction besides the UPI is through QR code.
